History

HISTORY

In 1891, Eduard Ysebaert established a butcher’s shop in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. He called it ‘Vlevy’ – for ‘Vleeswaren van Ysebaert’ (meat products from the Ysebaert family). Today, the company is run by the family’s 4th generation and has become an ultra-modern producer of meat ingredients for the food industry.


2012  
Vlevy expands the plant built in 2007 by 3000 m2.

 

2012 
Vlevy sets up a representative office in Bourne, UK (Vlevy UK Ltd).

 

2010    
A new sales office is established in Düsseldorf, Germany (Vlevy Deutschland GmbH).

 

2007    
Vlevy constructs a new plant in Desteldonk (Ghent), Belgium. The 10,000 m2 plant goes into operation in 2007.

 

2000    
Vlevy launches the IQF convenience range.

 

1997    
A new sales office is established in Paris, France ( Vlevy France Sprl).

 

1995

The 4th generation of the Ysebaert family takes over the management of the company.

1974    
Production of cooked ham in cook-in packaging is started.

 

1961    
The 3rd generation of the Ysebaert family takes over the management of the company.

 

1935    
The 2nd generation of the Ysebaert family begins managing the company and moves operations to Belgium.

 

1891
